Yeah your right about search traffic but thats not quite what that alexa report is sayingTheButcher wrote: ↑July 15th, 2021, 7:22 pmI respectfully would disagree, I think it is doing way more in sales.
Don't fall for Alexa rank, yes it is very low at 2,460,849 but it also shows 77.47% of the search traffic is from pornstar.com
You can get more sales with less traffic that is searching for something than a lot of traffic that is not looking for something.
20 years ago I am sure you will remember sites were buying traffic at ridiculous rates, up to $15 CPM, if you tell a 2021 webmaster sites would pay you $15 for 1000 exit or popunder hits they will think you are crazy and don't know what you are talking about but that was then. The model was throw enough shit against the wall and some will buy, but that was when there was at most 100 paysites out there if that.
Today with search traffic you can make sales even though every one seems to be running a membership site. I would guess they are doing way more than $3k a month is gross sales.
My 2 cents
Its saying that 77.47% of their total search traffic is for the phrase pornstar.com (not that they get 77% of their traffic from search engines).
Similarweb reports that they only get 5.24% from search engines and are averaging less than 50k hits a month https://www.similarweb.com/website/porn ... /#overview
That means they are doing around 1.6k hits a day (50k divided by 30). Of which approx 83 hits come from search engines (1.6k * 5%) and 77% of those are for the phrase pornstar.com (ie people that type the domain into google rather than the address bar)
That leaves only 19 hits a day from normal search traffic
Totally shocked me but thats what Alexa and Similarweb are suggesting
