Airmiles and membership sites

when was the last time you used any travel rewards to fly, better yet when was the last time you flew any where.

2019 in July, 2 years back and no plans of getting on a plane this year.

I have the American Express Air Miles card, no need to whip out a card and my Air Miles card every purchase both on the one card.

With credit cards offering cash back and other bonuses I do not see why any one uses Airmiles today

Im always wary of rewards or special promotions in this industry. How do you know they weren't going to signup or rebill in any case ??

In my experience this is one industry where users dont really shop on price (within reason). They either like the girl or they dont and offering discounts or rewards doesnt really change that.

I'm sure you remember Deecash that then became Mediarevenue and was buying up every site and program they could afford, putting multiple prechecked signups until they got canned by their billing companies and eventually closed up.

I used miles for a free flight from Minnesota to Ohio a couple years ago.

The best thing that I can think of that might work, though, are lowered monthly fees for members who have stayed. Like $30/month initially, $25/month after 6 months, and $20/month after 1 year. Something like that to keep them rebilling.

Before starting out in porn sites when I was a regular surfer I registered at a few sits and 2 of them had a loyalty discount after a couple of months. One emailed me after I cancelled to say they would give me a monthly rate of $17.88 instead of $27.88 if I rejoined in the next 30 days.

Not a new idea some have been doing it for years and it keeps people renewing their memberships.

I have the Business Gold card and it is amazing how many damn cards they have listed on their site. It used to be Green, Gold and Platinum.

The most important one is not listed on their website

The Black Card aka The Centurion Card. I would give my right arm for one of those things.
