Yes there is. It's still around. I can't remember which processors are behind it but you should be able to find it doing a search. I think some of the AdultForce sites used to accept store giftcards a few years back but I don't know if they still do.

There's some crypto processors getting in on the gift cards too. CoinPayments .net let's you cash out to store giftcards.

Not exactly what you'd call stable. You can always convert it to fiat if you use it to accept payments. Of course the fees are astronomical due to mining costs. I'm not even going to get into the energy consumption by the mining operations that are mostly located in countries that use coal for energy production thus contributing to global warming. Yeah... bitcoin has a ways to go.
