This might be the worst piece of legislation yet for adult.
Maybe not. Maybe there will be less pi*s poor productions. Maybe with less user uploaded and ripped off content readily available more people will start paying for their porn, production budgets can go up again and hopefully over all quality will improve. Perhaps there is a future were performers don't feel the need to shake their ass on cam, strip or escort on the side to make ends meet. Close my eyes... cross my fingers and toes... I wish! Of course the transition would be hell.

The claim that "pre-1924 works are in the public domain" is correct only for published works; unpublished works are under federal copyright for at least the life of the author plus 70 years.

so porn pre-1924 is in public domain

Yeh right that in itself is a joke and makes it a moot point. Why not say before the big bang happened.

Will tubes have to start paying for content and stop allowing uploaded content?

We'll have to wait and see what the big tubes end up doing then we can follow their lead.

Is this going to kill the tubes?
No, but I wish it would.

You guys should read some history on copyright laws.
Specifically what Walt Disney has done to change them.

While the big boys are going to cry about this WAA WA!

A solution is very simple and easy to implement. Technology is about to explode! Wait for it.

This is really great for the industry.

I bet Mr.Skin is really going to love this new law. Seriously, It should greatly increase their profit.

BOOM!

How does it suck?

From what I read in this new law the goal is to keep people from stealing other peoples content and profiting from it. This is what Google does as well as so many other websites. They managed to get away with it for years. About time someone stood up and stopped this.

You want to give me all your content and let me start making money from it and give you NOTHING?

I thought not.
