POTUS told Zelesky last night:

"Aug. 18 (UPI) -- On the eve of a highly anticipated White House meeting on ending Russia's war in Ukraine with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and seven other European leaders, President Donald Trump on Sunday night declared that Kyiv would not be regaining Moscow-annexed Crimea, nor would it be allowed to join NATO."

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/tru ... 20262.html

That is a given, here is what is going to happen today. President Trump will sit down Zelensky and the European guys who tagged along for a free photo op tell them here is what Russia wants, take it or leave it, you boys lost your ass. If you leave it I'm out you go alone.

Z takes it the death and destruction ends he says no the obvious happens, Russia goes to the Dnipro and takes Odessa if not more.

I hope Zelensky does the right thing for the sake of the innocent people who will carry on to die.
As you know, this is one area we disagree on r6d10k

Trump seems to be flip flopping on this war just like he did his tariffs. One minute he's demanding a ceasefire from Putin within 12 days or else heavy sanctions will follow, and the next minute he is agreeing with everything Putin says and demanding Ukraine cave in. Makes me wonder if Putin has something on Trump. Let's face it, the FSB is known for getting compromising material on prominent politicians with Russian prostitutes. Who knows LOL

But if Putin does get what he wants, I think war will break out in Europe within the next 3 - 5 years and possibly go global by dragging China and the US in too. At that point, I think history will judge Trump the same way it judges Chamberlain - as the guy who could have stopped a war but chose appeasement instead
We have different takes on the situation for sure. I think Trump came into his second term wanting to end the war and all other conflicts, the deep state and neo-con war mongers got to him, and he realized his MAGA agenda was being hijacked by the same crowd as his first term so he said screw you, I am going to go back to what i campaigned on and won the popular vote on, to end the war.

Putin has nothing on Trump, Putin has won the war and everyone can see the facts on the front lines. Trump is being realistic, he knows the game is over, he does not want to waste any more US tax dollars on this project, he told the Europeans you want to keep sending weapons you will buy it form us and send it. I believe he wants to end the killing.

Europe is still living in their past where they ruled the world, now the reality is they are all bankrupt countries, with huge immigration issues that has changed their core values, they lost access to cheap Russian oil and gas, so their industries are failing like there is no tomorrow. So Trump told them come over listen to what I have agreed with Putin take it or lump it. I watched those 7 people sitting with Trump yesterday, what a said sight. They are like puppies looking up at their mother for food. It was pathetic, what has Europe come to when their leaders are such impotent powerless tools of the US. They still think they have power and a say, they don;t they are broke vassal states of the United States.

If Trump gets them to stop fighting he is going to win the Nobel Peace prize, I can 99% guarantee it.
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

Let me put it this way, if after 3.5 years of war in Iraq, America only controlled less than 20% of the country, nobody would think they were "winning". Add to that over 1 million casualties and Americans would be protesting on the streets about a war they are clearly loosing

Well this is the position Putin is in. Russia controls less than 20% of Ukraine and in the last 3 years, they have gained less than 1% of Ukranian territory whilst suffering enormous casualties. This is a meat grinder and Putin is sending millions of Russians to their deaths

I really don't see how anybody could consider that "winning"

My prediction the war will end when Ukraine runs out of fighting me, they authorized 60 year olds to go fight, that tells you they are on the back foot and loosing men fast.

Russia is having to use soldiers from North Korea and Southern Africa (having already emptied the Russian jails)

I predict this war will stop only when Putin is forced to stop. Even if Ukraine made a peace deal with Russia right now (assuming they can get Putin to the negotiating table), it won't last more than a few years and everybody knows it.

It seems both Russia and Ukraine will be fighting on since both sides have rejected the terms of an end to war presented by Trump and the EU muppets.

Trump will get sick of this and walk away let them figure out their problem. He is now focusing on Venezuela.

I doubt it he will add secondary sanctions and tariffs to force Putin's hand.

The more destruction the more money for the companies when they rebuild it.
