Good for Ukraine. They just took out around 40 of Russia's strategic bombers in Operation Spiderweb.

Unlike Russia, they didn't go after civilians or civilian infrastructure, they went after the same bombers that have been bombing the hell out of Ukraine for the last 3 years. Putin didn't want to know about peace talks with Zelensky and Trump a few weeks ago and so now he's lost over $7 billion worth of his bomber force.

Militarily maybe a big act but on the eve of negotiations is not the way to get to peace.

I hear what you are saying but that's exactly what Putin did when Zelensky and Trump offered peace talks a couple of weeks ago. Putin didn't show up and instead launched massive missile and drone strikes into Ukraine

According to CNN, this attack happened a day after Russia launched its biggest ever drone attack on Ukraine. On May 31st, Russia launched 472 drones into Ukraine killing 12 people.

So much for Putin wanting peace !

You bet they will and it will not be pretty. You do not hit a country's nuclear arsenal and expect to get away with it. The new start treaty between us and Russia says each country must park their nuclear capable aircraft in the open so the other country can watch them. Ukraine just fucked up this treaty for us.

This made big news but no real changes on the ground. The war is going one way and it is not for Ukraine. They will get a retaliation, if it was us we would have nuked Ukraine already.

These bombers was used to kill Ukrainian troops and civilians

Main threat here is not that Ukraine did it, but that it could be done again and again

I have no idea what the Kremlin is thinking or going to do but I can bet it will be a big counter strike, some online suggest it will be nuclear, I do not see that but I do think an Oreshnik maybe two or more along with cruise missiles and drones will be flying sooner than later.

The other reason i think they have not retaliated immediately is to keep the Ukrainians stressed and worried.

But I can pretty much say with certainty it is going to happen, they can not let it go, too much has happened since last weekend.

Had one of the events that took place in the past week have happened in the US you can bet nukes would have gone off withing 12 hours.

No nuclear power will let their nuclear deterrence be attacked and not give a response.

I do not hate anyone it is about men fighting, Ukrainians have fled their country not to die , there are vans roaming around kidnapping men throwing them at the front lines to get slaughtered. Ukraine has what about 28 million people left and Russia has what 145 million. It's a numbers game Ukraine is going to lose and lose a lot of men in the process. We have given Ukraine hundreds of billions in aid and weapons, they are still losing. It's not hard to logically see what is coming to them.
