Anything is possible but I still believe Russia will take the south to Odessa and link it up with transnistria not much else. The buffer zone may extend further but I doubt they plan of taking all that territory over., Time will tell.

I don't believe they don't have the forces to get anywhere near Odessa. They have a massive advantage in man power and have been throwing more and more soldiers into the meat grinder but the front line has barely moved. In fact, in the last 12 months they have suffered around 45,000 killed (and that's a conservative estimate from US and EU intelligence) whilst advancing barely 25 miles.

Lobbing long range drone and missile attacks into Ukraine will NOT win the war for Russia. They can kill and cause damage but they cannot hold territory. For that you need soldiers on the ground and Russia is clearly running out of steam in my opinion anyway

Unlike Russia, they didn't go after civilians or civilian infrastructure, they went after the same bombers that have been bombing the hell out of Ukraine for the last 3 years. Putin didn't want to know about peace talks with Zelensky and Trump a few weeks ago and so now he's lost over $7 billion worth of his bomber force.

I hear what you are saying but that's exactly what Putin did when Zelensky and Trump offered peace talks a couple of weeks ago. Putin didn't show up and instead launched massive missile and drone strikes into Ukraine
