Could be. I cant help thinking that there are a lot of billionaires around Trump who could make a LOT of money out of the stock markets as a result of this. If you think about it, if they know a drop is coming then they could buy up stock and then sell it again once the price goes back up.

There is one and his son who seems to be around quite a lot, his net worth has gone down from $485 Billion at the start of the year to $335 Billion so that has not done much good got him. maybe he should go back to what he does and not go to the Oval Office so much.

Why the hell is Musk dragging that poor kid round everywhere ??? He's using him as some kind of prop. Apparently his mother isn't happy about itTheButcher wrote: ↑March 17th, 2025, 10:33 amtacnet wrote: ↑March 15th, 2025, 1:16 pmCould be. Yeah there's a lot of protests going on round the world right now against Tesla because of what Musk is doing. His stock price has dropped off a cliff. Everybody wants an efficient government but you can't go round waiving a chainsaw and shouting about all the people you are going to fire. These are real people with real families that he's destroying
But you have to ask, what can you do with $485 Billion that you can't do with $335 Billion ???

Why can't we all get along and do trade with each other without these tariffs so people can afford to live well.

"America First" not "Every other country first" if it means tariffs then be it. Globalists are screwed.

Your kidding yourself if you think that Trump's tariffs are going to make more money for the USA
Like most rich countries, 80% of America's workforce is in the services sector (including software, digital services, financial sector etc). In that sector, there is NO trade deficit with other countries. In fact, there is a huge trade surplus as America is a world leader in things like digital services.
Only around 10% of America's workforce is in the manufacturing sector. That's partly because labor costs are much lower in places like China and Mexico (where they work for peanuts) and partly because most manufacturing these days is done by robots. So all these multi billion dollar factories that Trump is going on about aren't going to create millions of jobs. They will mostly be run by robots and those few people that do work on the production lines will cost the company twice as much as they would in China or Mexico so the cost of the products they produce will go up
Meanwhile, your agricultural exports are being hammered by reciprocal tariffs all over the world. Beef, Chicken, Pork etc have all been hit with huge reciprocal tariffs
There's a reason we have had a global free trade economy for the last 80 years. It's because trade tariffs don't work !

We need to be bringing back manufacturing and that is what Trump is aiming to do with tariffs.
