@tacnet It might be a coup I have no knowledge whether it was or not but I think if Obama had his hand in it and has not come out endorsed her is because he might have plans for Hilary to contest the candidacy or run in 2028, and if he endorses harris then it make sit hard to challenge her in 4 years.

The last few PM's in the UK were hand picked by the party leadership and no it defeats the purpose of the people voting for their prim minister but that is how the system is setup.

Its too late to contest the candidacy. In 48 hours Harris has already won enough delegates to secure the nomination, with or without Obama's endorsement.
