Interesting that Obama is about the only one who hasn't endorsed her so far. Makes me wonder if Michelle Obama is thinking of running ???

Think she might be too late now though. BBC reports that Harris has now raised $150 million since announcing her campaign.

It could be because he has plans for Michelle to contest the nomination at the convention .

That doesn't surprise me but surely she needs to declare herself now rather than wait for the convention ?.

I can only guess that she's waiting to see how much support Harris gets but by the looks of it, Harris' campaign has taken off like a rocket and she's all but certain to get the nomination

Last week I would have agreed with you but now everything has changed and Im not so sure. Despite all Biden's gaffes and disastrous debate performance, the polls had it pretty much neck and neck which just goes to show that people weren't neccessarily voting for Biden....they were voting AGAINST Trump. It was basically a case of Trump vs himself.

There's not many swing voters in America right now, you either love Trump or you hate him and nobody is switching sides. However, there was a significant number of people who were not enthused by EITHER candidate. Ive seen several posts on this forum saying that this is just a couple of old guys fighting it out.

But now that's all changed. Trump is suddenly the old guy in the room up against a younger and potentially the first black woman president. That could well resonate with a lot of younger voters who weren't that enthused by either Trump or Biden

And to say this is undemocratic is bullshit. Hell here in the UK, we had 3 prime ministers in one year and we didn't get to vote for any of them !!!. At least Harris and Biden were both elected in the 2020 elections

@tacnet It might be a coup I have no knowledge whether it was or not but I think if Obama had his hand in it and has not come out endorsed her is because he might have plans for Hilary to contest the candidacy or run in 2028, and if he endorses harris then it make sit hard to challenge her in 4 years.

The last few PM's in the UK were hand picked by the party leadership and no it defeats the purpose of the people voting for their prim minister but that is how the system is setup.
