Pay Me Now Option (USD) via PayPal Business Cash Balance:
A $19.95 membership - 2.9% PayPal Processing Fee of $0.578 cents = $19.37 profit.
A $29.95 membership - 2.9% PayPal Processing Fee of $0.868 cents = $29.08 profit.
A $39.95 membership - 2.9% PayPal Processing Fee of $1.158 cents = $38.72 profit.
Paying out an affiliate from your PayPal Cash Balance where the affiliate pays the processing fee:
50% of 1 $19.37 signup = $9.68 - Send $9.68 to affiliate - Affiliate receives $9.40 - Sponsor pays nothing.
50% of 1 $29.08 signup = $14.54 - Send $14.54 to affiliate - Affiliate receives $14.11 - Sponsor pays nothing.
50% of 1 $38.72 signup = $19.36 - Send $19.36 to affiliate - Affiliate receives $18.79 - Sponsor pays nothing.
See .. the world we live in has this option. Just because a sponsor uses NATS or CCBIll does not exclude this affiliate payout option using PayPal.
Don't let the banks that process NATS or CCBill run your business. There are alternative payout methods, even if you have to load your PayPal business account with cash or load a crypto wallet with crypto to avoid further processing fees by NATS or CCBill.
I am sure NATS is great with their Affiliate Content Management System. But NATS or CCBill does not need to run your processing.

I do not know the options within a sponsor's CC processor such as for NATS or CCBill. But, if you can turn the Affiliate Payout option to 'Off' so no affiliate check is printed/mailed or an electronic affiliate payout is not sent, then the sponsor can collect all sale profits and then manage all the payouts themselves using PayPal and not have to pay any processing fee to send your affiliates the money owed to them. Which in turn, bypasses any bank the processors use to process or print a check and mail it to your affiliates, or via Paxum, etc.
Let NATS, CCBill, Paxum, or whomever, process your signups, but YOU, the Sponsor, can pay your affiliates via PayPal, or crypto of your choice. OR, if an affiliate chooses a $500 minimum payout or more, let NATS or Paxum do that. If your affiliate chooses PayPal then let them have a Pay Me Now option so they can be paid WITHOUT a need for a minimum payout.
In regards to cryptocurrency payouts, I would suggest using ETH (Ethereum), ADA (Cardano), or BAT (Basic Attention Token). BTC (Bitcoin) is also an option, but that is more like sending a small grain/shaving of gold for small amounts of payments. Plus BTC transfer fees are more.
Does none of this make sense as an alternative method of paying affiliates without all of this non-sense of 'Minimum Payouts' from bank processors printing or electronically sending payments and charging the sponsor more money to pay affiliates ?? Checks are becoming more and more a thing of the past.
Anyway, I have other work to tend to as I am trying to send sponsors some traffic and make them some sales. If anyone is interested, please check out my webmaster information page to have a program listed, exchange traffic, or browse other resources. Developments are on going. Thank you.

First, I agree with TAC on the minimum payout. At least why some many sponsors have it and the cost of accounting departments.tacnet wrote: ↑August 15th, 2023, 8:28 amWhat the hell are you going on about ??? You must be trippin if you think you are going to find a sponsor that will pay you your $20 !!!! Even CCBill WONT do that
You really dont have a clue how this industry works !
Second, I would have to look over mine, but I think I have a few that have no minimum payout. However, I dont pay that much attention to as I set my payouts to $500 in most cases, Cause I NUDE.com and I can do what I want.
Third, if you are not reaching a minimum payout of $20, you need to be doing something different.
Fourth, minimum payouts motivate people to work harder. Some sponsors have a minimum earning requirements and will cancel YOUR account and/or fine you for not reaching the minimum.
fifth, read the terms and conditions before you agree to them.

So the answer to the original question is yes. As he said, he decided to DROP the sponsors, so those sponsors will keep his money. This may be 'legal', but is it fair? No. Legal and fair seem to be two different things in this world, unfortunately.
Does that mean the sponsors are screwing affiliates out of being paid? Well, yes and no.
Yes because it is absolutely possible to still pay the affiliate via paypal where the sponsor does not have to pay any additional processing fee.
And no because since the affiliate agreed to the 'terms' then well that is the reason a sponsor will not pay them; even though it is still possible without a sponsor 'complaining' about payout processing fees.
So an answer to the original question is, well, It seems sponsors would rather keep the affiliates money rather than pay an affiliate what is owed even if the sponsor does not have to pay further payout fees. They use the 'terms' to their favor to allow them to legally keep the affiliates money.
Personally, I really do not understand why a sponsor would not want to pay an affiliate with a 'Pay Me Now' option via paypal where they do not have to pay any processing fee for the payout. Instead, the sponsor seems totally fine with the affiliate 'dropping' their program, rather than to try and help the affiliate with the payout owed, or by helping the affiliate with whatever they may need to keep their referral traffic and help them make more sales to meet the 'terms' of the payout.
Some of these payouts are totally ridiculous being $500 or $1000 while there are options available to payout an affiliate regardless of what is owed to them. Fair is fair. 'Terms' are just the legalities that protect a sponsor so they can keep the affiliates earned money.
As I had said, "The sponsor does not mind, and the affiliate does not matter." .. and that rings very very true. The sponsor would rather accept an affiliate dropping their program (and traffic) to keep the money rather than paying out a small amount with even if there are no fees the sponsor would have to pay to do so.
You could say it [terms and legalities] is a way for the rich to stay rich and the poor to stay poor. Being fair, or doing the right thing does not seem to apply in this world unfortunately.

If affiliates were to turn away and not sign to some of these sponsor programs due to the terms of the programs' 'minimum payouts', an affiliate would be very very limited in what they could advertise. And, at least in my opinion, sponsor programs need as much advertising and marketing as they can possibly get. So, it seems 'logical' for some of the sponsor programs to 'adjust' themselves in that regard.
If NATS could combine all of an affiliates sales into one pay out from all of the combined sponsors using the NATS software, then that would be a great thing. Similar to how CCBill does. With CCBill you can sign up to a hundred programs and still get paid if only 3 of them made a single sale in one month. Something for NATS to think about. Again, in my opinion.
Hell, if it were me, and I had a sponsor program, I would purely only use PayPal CC processing for subscriptions and affiliate payouts. The processing seems pretty cheap for profit and for affiliate payouts. Perhaps also along with crypto payment methods being just as cheap, if not cheaper.
If an affiliate likes to be paid out with a check/paxum then well, I guess they would have to wait for the minimum payout 'terms' to be reached.

Excellent point we put up with any terms sponsors put on the page, if we reacted or called the terms out on forums they might take notice.

It's Hog Wash!
Question is, is WHY? Just because they can, I suppose. "sign up to my program and send me 5 sales and maybe in a year you can get paid." It's just wrong in soo many ways.I'd like to know who joins a program with a minimum payout of $2500 (which I have recently seen). Is like, PornHub.com, or Porn.com, sex.com, or fuckmehard.com joining that program knowing they can send a million visitors a month to it and make at least a couple sales so they can finally be paid in 6 to 12 months?
What 'high profile' sites are joining that program, I wonder?
Does the program owner expect a lot of affiliates to join it with such a high pay out 'quota'? Or, do they only expect a couple few high profile affiliates to join it? Just doesn't make sense to have such high payout 'terms' for some of these programs. I think $100 minimum payout is 'fair', granted they update and get membership rebills.
Some of these programs with $500 - $3000 minimum pay out is just ridiculous though. It's not like their program charges any more or less than any other program for a membership. So what gives with that I wonder? I'm sure that shit river runs deep ...
Sure you'll say, "well if you don't like it then don't sign up to the program; the terms are clear." .. but that doesn't make it right! The world we all live in should be better than that type of mentality. Where in this world we all need money to survive and keep doing what we like to do. And don't go saying go flip burgers or do something else either, that's just an easy escape goat which is non-sense. Let's be fucking real here shall we? If one affiliate sends 2 subscribers and the other sends 100, they both should be treated the same. Just because one isn't as well off as the other doesn't mean the payout should discriminate between the two.
I just outlined in an earlier reply [here, here, and here] of how program owners can pay out affiliates whenever they want to be paid. Sure, they might have to put some 'time and effort' into doing that, but it won't cost them anything. Granted if the user will accept PayPal. Don't see why anyone would not.
Back in the day, PayPal would not process adult oriented material, or website subscriptions. Back then program owners could only deal with CCBill or NATS (a couple others) to process adult subscriptions. Well, things are now different and times have changed. Now PayPal does. AND there is even crypto which nobody controls as they are self-sustaining eco-systems. The processing that is paid via crypto doesn't go to a bank, it goes to supporting their networks.
I am not sure about how NATS works, but I am not so sure they should offer program users the option of 'desiring' what a minimum payout should be. They all should be the same. Seems to me that NATS are the ones making the real money with their apparent 'high processing fees'. Apparently it comes down to like, well, "this affiliate sent 3 sign ups this month and it will cost X amount of dollars to send them a check. If they do that every month then we are spending too much money to pay them. Let's only pay affiliates that send 20 sign ups every month and then at least we aren't paying excessive processing fees (to NATS); let the less fortunate workers who only send a couple sales be left out of being paid anything if at all."
Just sayin' .. if none of this makes any sense to you, then .. well .. speak up or forever hold the money that affiliates are owed due to 'your' payout 'terms'.

It appears that nobody cares about saving or making money, I guess.
People talk about coding a trade script, when they should be talking about coding a sponsor / affiliate processing script using paypal and crypto.

NATS is out there but with so few new programs being released I doubt they are laughing to the bank the way they used to 10 years ago.

All the more reason for them to either update their processing or for program owners to hire a programmer(s) to create new processing/payout methods using PayPal or Crypto.
Programs may do better if they adjusted themselves with their 'minimum payout terms' and, for that matter, monthly subscription prices.
Considering everyone in the world knows they can watch porn for free on PornHub. Who really will pay $39.95 or $29.95 or $24.95, or even $19.95 for a one month subscription to some site?
May need to work out a 3 month subscription term for $24.95 if program owners have to compete with PornHub's Free Porn.
