Cornering Putin is not a good idea, you never know what someone humiliated or feeling defeated might do, especially when they have the nuke option. Finding a diplomatic off ramp from this current situation is the best way to end the conflict, deaths and suffering. My 2 cents.

I think your right, every day it looks like Putin is being backed more and more into a corner which is a dangerous thing.

I cant see how Putin can survive this. If he carries on and takes Ukraine then his economy will be in ruins. But if he is seen to back down then he will loose all credibility and likely be overthrown by his own people. Even his main ally China seems to be sitting on the fence as they dont want to fall foul of the west's sanctions

One way or another I think this might spell the end of Putin's regime and its just a case of how he wants to go out.
