Have you ever experienced an anxiety attack

#1

Post by NSWDave » September 27th, 2025, 11:52 pm

Guess who did yesterday, my friend thought I was having a cardiac arrest drove me to the emergency department at the local hospital. Blood tests, ekg, chest x-rays. They said it was an anxiety attack. Where did that come about at my age. I'm not 65 or in bad shape.

The fastest way to release a panic attack is to open your mouth, stick out your tongue, and breathe slowly. Ideally, get on your knees and lean on your hands. tested by experience.

I will try this next time, my blood pressure was 197/104 and my heart rate 176 beats per minute. I have never experienced anything like this before.

take something small and start moving it with your hands so that fine motor skills are activated. even cereals, even stones, even puzzles

Not a doctor but my layman's opinion is reduce stress. Stress is more of a problem than many people realize.

There is nothing wrong with admitting you have a medical condition, talking about it and getting support is always good.

Yep. SSRI + CBT therapy will help you.
No alcohol, nicotine or weed. Good nutrition and exercises. Cold showers and consistent routine.
You will be fine.
