Unfortunately true, I get people here show me what their designer has done before they take the site online and I wonder what the hell the designer was thinking.
Number one cardinal sin in my book is not making the "join" link stand out. What is the point of a site tour if you are not making it easy for the potential member to click and sign up.

Hard to imagine Google going down on Wordpress sites, it would make hurt Google since half the sites out there are WP sites.
