Yu and me think along the same lines, even sex.com or playboy.com are total wast. Playboy the iconic brand is now a clothes shop in my opinion.

Playboy has lot their direction years ago, they were late to the online site idea, they dropped nude pics then said it's okay, and their site really is not true to it's founders dream,it's an apparel show of kind.

If you can afford an expensive domain you must know what your goal is with that domain. Looking at it from outside makes no sense, my thinking is people buy these high end domains for the price they might get later on and what the site makes in the interim is not important to them.

Most buy them for the long term price appreciation. Take pk.com for example it used to be a porn site (PersianKitty) it's been a dead page for years. 2 C dot com's are extremely rare and very expensive.

How I feel and thinking about what you said, probably why the new owners of pk.com have not put up a site is for the adult pages indexed on the domain to fall off the search engines so they can sell it to a mainstream company down the line.

I think you mean Meta Platforms, Inc., formerly known as Facebook, Inc. Not amazon.

They own Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and other sites.
