It can not hurt to scroll longer that way the visitor site on site longer so good for bounce rate

I like scrolling pages it keeps the surfer on the site longer so there is more chance they will see something they like and click to one of my sponsors.

I visit quite a few forums in mainstream daily and 2 in adult, none of them have infinite scroll pages.

There's a difference between an automatic scrolling page and a "Load More" button.

I wouldnt recommend an automatic scrolling page (ie it automatically loads the page as you get near the bottom) because, as others have said the user cant get to your page footers

But a "Load More" button near the bottom of the page has several advantages. The obvious one is its a lot easier and quicker for mobile phone users to use instead of trying to squeeze in a pagination bar.

The second (less obvious) one is that its a lot quicker and easier for users to back page. Because all the pages are already on the screen, hitting the back button will simply scroll back up the page without having to reload anything. Likewise the forward button will simply scroll back down.

Again a lot easier and quicker for mobile users
