[NON-BUSINESS] Gov Andrew Cuomo resigns - Because times have changed

I like politics and have been following the news about New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, and watching his resignation speech earlier today he said a few things that honestly hit home with me, he's about my age, and anyone over 40 years of age today can probably relate to what he said and what I mean here. If you are over 50 then you definitely will know what I mean. MY generation as much as I hate it, kissing on the cheek was a sign of friendship and respect.

The following were not meant or done to sexually harass a person, it was customary ways of acknowledging their presence. Hugging, tapping them on the shoulder, back, arm, kissing their forehead or cheek. I am not talking about rubbing a woman on the butt or kissing her on the lips.
This is not the same things as Bill Cosby was accused of let's get this straight.

I honestly understand what he is saying at being 63 old and of Italian heritage, this one line at 2 minutes and 30 seconds really sums it up for me.

"I didn't realize to the extent the line has been redrawn.There are generational and cultural shifts that I just didn't fully appreciate"


He looked and sounded sincere to me, obviously I do not know what the reality is but he impressed me.

Female viewership of CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” took a dive last week after anchor Chris Cuomo’s brother, Andrew Cuomo, was found by New York Attorney General Letitia James to have sexually harassed almost a dozen women. Andrew Cuomo resigned as governor of New York Tuesday while CNN’s Cuomo was on vacation.

Before he departed for his annual birthday trip, however, women departed his show: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week — after the Tuesday morning announcement of James’ findings regarding the governor — “Cuomo Prime Time” averaged 453,000 total female viewers, of whom just 76,000 were in the advertiser-coveted age demographic of 25 to 54, according to Nielsen Media Research ratings data. (Cuomo was off Friday.)"

What ever the deal is with Andrew why are women not watching his brother's show, how people think is quite ridiculous if you watched the show because you liked it what has changed, he had nothing to do with any of the accusations made against his brother.

He's been charged now comes the trial which will be his chance to clear his name if he is innocent.

"Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has been charged with a misdemeanor sex crime in Albany City Court, according to a spokesman for the New York State Court System.

The complaint, filed by an Albany County Sheriff's Department investigator, accused Cuomo of forcible touching.

The alleged crime took place at the governor's mansion on Dec. 7, 2020, when Cuomo "intentionally and for no legitimate purpose" forcibly placed his hand under the blouse of an unnamed victim and onto an intimate body part.

"Specifically, the victim's left breast for the purposes of degrading and gratifying his sexual desires, all contrary to the provisions of the statute in such case made and provided," the complaint said."

Innocent until proven guilty no matter who you are, let's wait for the court proceedings. Now if these allegations are proven to be true that is another story, if you read what I wrote in August I said. "The following were not meant or done to sexually harass a person, it was customary ways of acknowledging their presence. I stand by what I wrote, back in the day those were not meant or implied to be sexual or harassment.
