84 and Covid-19 do not look good and complications got him from what I just read. He was fully vaccinated too, that's a shame. You might not agree with his politics but you have to respect him for being a good American working through the ranks to the high office he achieved especially the time he grew up, when racism was rally an issue. Not like today when saying "Spooky" at Halloween is considered racist.

You might be too young to remember the 60's and 70's but when I was growing up racism was in your face. Getting a job, going to school, renting a flat, buying a car, try getting a loan. I had good friends in high school and they could tell you horror stories even walking home from school together would end up getting us picked on.

it was not that bad. although. name calling stuff. did you know that the last legal hanging of blacks was in the 60's - 70s? i think it was '73 when they ended it being legal. 50's in texas blacks could not own a bank.
