Hello I notice some of you discuss cooking and food. Here is my contribution to the forum, let us talk your favorite foods and how you cook them.
Burgers this is what i am good at and eat a few nights a week, I get half a pound of lean ground beef beef and a quarter pound of pork, mix it together with a pinch of salt, black pepper, just under half an egg, mix it real well. I let it sit in the fridge for 2-3 hours. Then I make 4 patties out of it, freeze the 2 and cook 2 on the grill. I do not toast my buns, I like them soft and fresh. I put a little mayo and mustard on each side of the bun, slice onions, a pickle for the 2 burgers, top it off with tomato.
That is my burger recipe

Vegetable beef soup:
2 bags of frozen veggies (peas, carrots, green beans, corn)
1 big can diced tomatoes
1 big can of tomato juice
1 big container of beef broth
2 potatoes diced
1 onion diced
Beef cut into small pieces
Salt, pepper
Brown meat along with onion in a little bit of oil. Add all other ingredients and lightly season with salt pepper. Bring to boil and simmer for one hour. Season to taste.
Alternatively you can use V8 juice in lieu of tomato juice. Also great to add are chopped up cabbage and barley. I live with a picky eater so I don't get to do that

Turkey what I love to cook, wash the bird, throw out the plastic bag with the insides, dry it, pour a good 6ozs of red wine on it, melt some salted butter, rub it on add black pepper. I don;t use salt so the salted butter is enough. Put the bird on top of 2 thick sticks of celery so it does not stew in the juices and become soggy. cut an apple in half put it in the cavity. Tie the legs together over with aluminium foil, preheat the oven to 450F in she goes. After 45 minutes I reduce the heat to 350F and bingo. After the second hour, I open the foil suction out the juices, usually and once again after another 2 hours. It is usually done in four and a half hours.
The juices I use to make gravy. It is important to make sure the meat is 165-170F so it is cooked right. Stuffing I do in a separate tray, and roast potatoes in a third tray.
