You wonder if these sponsors ever were affiliates them selves.

PIN this threadTheButcher wrote: ↑September 13th, 2021, 2:44 pmI see this all the time and keep telling sponsors, when you have referral links send them to the program home page not directly to the sign up page, do a bit to help yourself get affiliates the person registering to the program has to see what they are signing up to promote. The same with surfer links send them to a home page or tour of the site not to where they have to pull out their credit card and sign up.

I know exactly where you are all coming from with this and say yeah what you link to should be fully optional and not just a sign up page in the case of some sponsors....
However I disagree with "Tacnet" in NOT having a direct link to the sign up page as an option !
WHY?
Becasue in some cases the affiliate has "highly targeted" traffic and are already convinced they need to sign up so going though landing pages etc etc is just a fucking chore to get to where they need to be...

Having a direct link to the sign up page is good, however sending a click to a signup page is lame marketing.

Once I start my free host I will be buying banners here and they will go to the site not the register page.
