Same, I've been simmering some pork ribs in bbq sauce for a few hours, they fell apart when I touched them with a spoon just now so lunch is ready.

I have had tamales and love them but they are not good for you, real ones are made with lard which is very bad for your cholesterol.

Lard is basically pig fat aka high concentration of fat which is high in cholesterol and that is what clogs the arteries leading to stroke, heart attack and all other cholesterol related diseases.
