What always held me back is the content, 20 years ago and even sooner there were new sites using the same leased content every where , and all of them ended up failing.

That was and still is the major fucking problem !!!
Semi unique content costs an arm and a leg and even then it won't be exclusive to you.... you can produce your own, but there is all the legal issues and mother fuckers stealling it etc etc..

You could buy up all the Paul Markam type stuff very cheaply (is he still alive ?) and put up a "classic porn" type membership site lol I havent seen any of that stuff floating around in a long time, so it might be a winner for the adolesent teens who have never seen Dutch types with what resembles a grizzly bear in their knickers before ! hahaha

Apart from that I do know know Trike Patrol buys a lot of unique content regulary at like $1000 a set with exculsive rights etc.... so if you plan on a membership site in my oppinion you have two options:

1. produce your own content
2. find people who are willing to produce it for you exclusively

I think that is the only way to make it work these days.
