[BUSINESS] banners refreshing

What do you think of having banners that refresh say every 15 seconds while viewing a page, are they more effective showing the person on the page multiple banners before they leave the page.

Dumb idea they distract me when I am on a page reading an article and ads keep refreshing.

It would get too much on a forum, I prefer the old school way of rotating banners per page load.

15 seconds is too short, if a person notices it and goes to click it , it will have changed.What is the point of refreshing them so quickly.No sponsor pays per banner view they want sales.
