I do want a high bounce rate, so your statement " you dont want high bounce rates....period. " is incorrect. YOU tacnet to not want a high bounce rate because you operate a site that is the end of the line, bottom of the funnel.
My sites and many of the site managed by webmaster here are at, near the top or in the middle of a funnel. They want a higher bounce rate.

If a site's revenue is generated by the clicks of ads, PPC, then a high bounce rate can be a very good thing.
If a site's revenue is generated by an action on another site, then a high bounce rate can be a very good thing.

A higher bounce rate indicates fewer visitors are clicking on links to other pages on your site, whereas a lower bounce rate indicates more visitors are clicking to other pages.
Ive spent every day for the last 13 years (since we started our affiliate program) working with literally hundreds of affiliates including some of the biggest porn sites in the world. Its my job ! I know exactly how hard it is for affiliates these days and how they make their money. We have several affiliate sites of our own

You seem to think that every bounce is because a user is clicking on your adds and NOTHING else. Whilst I really dont want to pick on your site again but using it as an example, I can tell you that in your case that isnt so.

I dont need to see your stats, google gives your site a page speed index of 19.2 seconds and a time to interactive of 16.2 seconds which is EXTREMELY slow. That means users are having to wait 16.2 seconds before they can click on anything. Thats why you have an 87% bounce rate or whatever it was, not because they are clicking on your adds

Of course there's always examples of pages where a high bounce rate is expected and even desirable (banner farms, blog posts, link list, checkout pages etc) but in the adult industry the most succesful affiliates are usually the ones that engage the user with a mixture of content and adds. Just look at pornhub, xhamster, xvideos (all TAC affiliates) and even youtube. They ALL engage the user with content whilst presenting them with adds and keeping their bounce rate low

An engaged user will return time and time again. He'll remember your domain name and start searching for you on google. He might even bookmark your site and THATS how you drive up traffic and consequently your add clicks. An engaged user can be worth literally hundreds of bounced users

And so I say again, if you have a webpage/website that you want the user to engage with then you dont want high bounce rates....period.

I like the way you think, especially this one line jives with what I have been saying here for years.

There's only 2 examples I can think of in this industry where you might want a high bounce rate

1. If your site is a link list / banner farm (so all your links point to external sites)
2. On a checkout page

There might be others but those are the only 2 i can think of

If you are writing a blog, you do not want a high bounce rate. UNLESS the goal of you blog is to get people to click links to leave the site.|

What I am saying is that it depends on your site strategy.
Mine is to get people to leave.

@tacnet just attempting to prove I am wrong and he is correct. his limited knowledge is all any of us have to share.

My current site strategy is fuck you I dont care about NUDE.com website or bounce rate, thus using it as an example is FUCK YOU IDIOT! I have made that clear and tacnet reads/responds to enough of my posts to know I could give a fuck less what the site on NUDE.com does or how it performs.

How about using a site I work on every couple months as an example?

https://celeb.nude.com what is the bounce rate on this site? smarty pants?

https://xxx.nude.com

how about this one?

which one is lower?
How much is the CPM?
What is the return visitor rate? with that asked what is a good returning visitor rate and why would you want one? Also what is the best way to get an increased return visitor rate?

Do I care about any of these (for NUDE.com)?
Should I?

What is my target market?
What is my long term business plan and business goals?

There are so many questions you must KNOW the answer to before you start talking / giving advice about another sites bounce rate!

For tacnet to act like he knows anything because he worked on a few websites over the years, tells me how little he comprehends the nature of communication.
NUDE.com is NOTHING like anything tacnet seems to be able to comprehend.

The importance of Bounce rate high or low depends on the goals of the site owner, NOT what tacnet has said.

NUDE.com has an 86% bounce rate and I love it. Get theuck offf my site and go to a sponsor. Oops put that F in the wrong place.
Thanks again for all the personal insults

I referenced nude.com because YOU referenced it earlier in this thread claiming that an 86% bounce rate was a good thing !

If you dont care about nude.com then thats entirely up to you (although i find that hard to believe given your username on here) but it seems a hell of a waste of a domain with such huge potential

If you are bouncing users out on the first click, then that means they a NOT interacting with your site at all (unless its some kind of link list or directory)

They are NOT coming back and clicking more links (If they were, it wouldnt show as a bounce) and they are unlikely to be returning visitors and so your left with having to constantly find new traffic

I dont need to know your long term plans or business strategy. Every adult website has the same goal of getting and maintaing traffic

And so I say again, if you have a webpage/website that you want the user to engage with then you dont want high bounce rates....period.
