I went for a night out with friends on Friday in Oxford (UK).
First time ive been out since all this covid stuff began and i was amazed. The pubs were packed, live music playing, people shaking hands etc. No masks or anything and all because we have managed to get over 80% of our population fully vaccinated.
It really shows that there is life after covid, its just a case of getting most of your population to get the jab. The more people that resist it, the longer its going to take to get your country back open again
Why cant these anti vaccine idiots see they are just holding everybody back ?

In Quebec 12 and older 86% have had one dose and 76% are fully vaccinated yet daily new cases are at May 2021 levels again. As of tomorrow’s you can download the vaccine passport app which you will need to show along with your photo ID to go to non-essential places come September 1st.

According to CNN just now, the vaccine efectiveness against catching covid drops from around 90% for normal covid to around 65% against the delta variant (which is still pretty high)
But the protection against hospitalisation / death remains constant. Apparently, unvaccinated are 30 times more likely to get seriously ill or die from covid than vaccinated

I woke early today to download my vaccine passport, and it was a one minute task.

Cases are going up, hospitalizations are up, not good at all. Hospital case are at January levels again.
"(CNN)More than 100,000 people are hospitalized with Covid-19 in the US -- the first time that level has been reached since January -- as medical workers say they're once again struggling to treat waves of patients.
The latest figure, amid a summer surge in Covid-19 cases driven by the highly transmissible Delta variant, is also more than double what it was on the same day last year, when vaccines were not available as they are now."

I cant imagine how those people going into hospital now must feel. Knowing that they had been offered the vaccine and could now very well loose their lives because of some stupid conspiracy theory they picked up off the internet.
What a truly awful realisation that must be

Do people read the news, they must hear and read how un-vaccinated people are getting seriously sick and dying yet they still reuse to get the shot.tacnet wrote: ↑August 27th, 2021, 10:15 amI cant imagine how those people going into hospital now must feel. Vaccines are big sales for pharma, Pfizer is estimating to make $33.5 billion just form their Covid-19 vaccine sales this year.
"On nearly every front, the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) and BioNTech (NASDAQ:BNTX) has been a blazing success. It was the first to win U.S. Emergency Use Authorization and full approval. More doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine have been given to Americans than any other -- by far. The vaccine is on track to generate sales of $33.5 billion this year. Pfizer's revenue growth could just be getting started. "

With so many vaccines being given why is this pandemic not being eradicated?

If you like injections this one is for you, Israel's top Coronavirus guy says a 4th dose of vaccine might be necessary.
"Israel’s national coronavirus czar on Saturday called for the country to begin making preparations to eventually administer fourth doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
“Given that that the virus is here and will continue to be here, we also need to prepare for a fourth injection,” Salman Zarka told Kan public radio.
He did not specify when fourth vaccine shots could eventually be administered."

Unvaccinated people 11 times more likely to die of Covid-19 than vaccinated, is this reason enough to go get vaccinated or what.
"Lena H. Sun and Joel Achenbach, (c) 2021, The Washington Post
Fri, September 10, 2021, 1:34 PM
People who were not fully vaccinated this spring and summer were more than 10 times more likely to be hospitalized, and 11 times more likely to die of covid-19 than those who were fully vaccinated, according to one of three major studies published Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that highlight the continued efficacy of all three vaccines amid the spread of the highly contagious delta variant.
A second study showed the Moderna coronavirus vaccine was moderately more effective in preventing hospitalizations than its counterparts from Pfizer-BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson. That assessment was based on the largest U.S. study to date of the real-world effectiveness of all three vaccines, involving about 32,000 patients seen in hospitals, emergency departments and urgent care clinics across nine states from June through early August."

You would think so but I still know people who are point blank refusing the jab.TheButcher wrote: ↑September 10th, 2021, 2:30 pmUnvaccinated people 11 times more likely to die of Covid-19 than vaccinated, is this reason enough to go get vaccinated or what.
I think its got to the point where there is nothing more you can say to these people that will pursuade them. Its not vaccine hesitancy anymore its just pig ignorance
I guess the only option now is to make life more and more difficult for those who refuse
