Sorry for a blonde moment question but when i move from host A to Host B what happens to my subdomains. They are all done by my host now, will the new host have to redo them and what do i have to do to make them carry on working.

Have the new host do the transfer of your existing sites to the new server, it's not complicated.

Subs are set up by DNS. Just make sure they point to the right ip of your new host or whatever A or CNAME they're supposed to be pointed at in case of WLs.

Like booster said, easiest way to do this is ask the new host to do the transfer and check it afterwards.

How I have always done it, I think I have been with 4 hosts in 23 years but never actually done the transfer myself.

why you can save time with your own name servers, one less thing to do if you have a lot of domains and sites on a server.

When it comes to moving host then directories are less work than subdomains
