Is this the worst spin any person has put on why withdrawing from a treaty is actually good for the cause?

ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkey's withdrawal on Thursday from an international treaty to prevent violence against women is not a step backwards, President Tayyip Erdogan said, defending a move which has drawn condemnation from many Turks and Western allies.

"Some circles are trying to portray our withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention as a step backwards in our battle with violence against women," he told an action plan meeting in Ankara.

"Our battle did not start with the Istanbul Convention and it will not end with our withdrawal from the treaty," he said of the pact that was first forged and signed in Turkey's largest city in 2011.

Erdogan announced in March the decision to withdraw from the Istanbul Convention. The move only took effect on Thursday, with thousands set to protest it across Turkey later in the day."

You do not want to go shoot porn there they'll probably chop your head off or some part of your body

Isn't that the same in most Muslim countries, and women are treated as property of the men and have no rights.

Have you read the treaty or just the title?
Reactionary opinions when you have not read the treaty.. WOW!

Prevent violence against women treaty, is this just a title or did they sneak other things into the treaty like they do laws and stimulus packages?

I asked if you read it dude!

You making an opinion by the title makes you seem like someone that should be ignored. Trying to confirm that you are just reading the title, so I can determine whether you have a clue or not.

This is also sexist!

How about a treaty to prevent violence?
Violence only affects women diproportionaltely cause they report it more often. The stats show that over 90% of men do NOT report violence against themselves.
Boy on boy violence is ignored, like some girl on girl violence

Share that link to the treaty, since you read more than the title.

Then I will point out the real reasons NO one should have joined the treaty.

If not I have a contract for you to sign, a treaty is a type of contract fyi,
the contract is title

Free milk for kittens!

so it has to be a great contract.

you read the title and agree to my terms without reading them.
hell I will send a blank contract, since you dont read them and have that title at the top and you sign the bottom.

Getting my point yet???

If you are not going to read the contract/treaty, sssh!

How many countries NEVER signed the treaty?
Still waiting to see if anyhone know the real title of the treaty or just the propaganda title?!

Also the Turkish president made it clear that Turkish law already covers the same as the words in the treaty for women.
So why would you want to make an international court have authority over YOU!

You ready for the world government to come arrest you for some law you had NO say in?

Lets also be clear about the sexism here.

Over 80% of the murder are MEN, So why are we focused on women only?
Over 84% of assualts are men, so why are we focused on women?

Laws should NOT be by sex, race, etc that is wrong!

Either you can do something or you can not. Laws for women only are sexist and illegal and in the US unconstitutional.
