Just use photopea. It's a free easy to use editor similar to photoshop. You can also upload and use any photoshop tools you have (brushes, actions, contours, styles, patterns, etc, etc). You can find all kinds of free tools online, DeviantArt is a good resource. I haven't found a PS tool that doesn't work in photopea yet. You can create pretty much anything you might need with ease, animate it, whatever. You don't even need to register to use.

$10 huh? I thought it was more than that. I use the editor sporadically. For days on end when I'm in a creative mode and then I might not touch it for months. I've gotten comfortable using photopea. There wasn't really a learning curve and I've grown to like it

I do still have a portable version of PS CS3 on my laptop. It's old as dirt but still runs on windows10. Only problem is my PC is 4K and it doesn't scale. So when I got tired of squinting or changing resolution I went on a hunt for a replacement editor and photopea fit the bill perfectly.
