Derek Chauvin guilty of all 3 charges in the death of George Floyd

"Minneapolis (CNN)The former Minneapolis Police officer who kneeled on George Floyd's neck for over 9 minutes last year was found guilty of murder and manslaughter on Tuesday in one of the most consequential trials of the Black Lives Matter era.
Derek Chauvin, 45, was convicted on charges of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. The jury deliberated for more than 10 hours over two days in coming to their decision.
Chauvin, wearing a mask in court, had no apparent reaction to the guilty verdict. His bail was revoked and he was placed in handcuffs and removed from the court through a side door.

The verdict comes about 11 months after excruciating bystander video showed Chauvin impassively kneeling on the neck and back of Floyd, handcuffed and lying prone on the street, for 9 minutes and 29 seconds on May 25, 2020. Under the officer's knees, the 46-year-old Black man gasped for air, repeatedly exclaimed "I can't breathe" and ultimately went silent."

Our justice system and jury are the best , justice came for George Floyd's death.

The jury got it right and if they had not found Mr Chauvin guilty of even one count there would be mayhem, rioting and disaster for weeks to come across America. My feelings on this decision.

Hopefully this will be a lesson for all law enforcement persons, who in the majority of cases are good decent people serving the public, but there are some not so good ones out there. What I saw on the video of the incident left me in no doubt it was wrong how Chauvin acted.

Yes George will not come back alive but the crime was punished. It would be very bad if the crime went unpunished.
