cooking for a woman on our 3rd date
Ideas please >>>>>
For our 3rd date I invited this woman to my place for dinner, she is not comfortable with restaurants just yet. I took her out on Saturday week before and this past Friday night, since she is not kosher eating out with the you know what in the air, I asked her if she would prefer Iorder in dinner and she said how about if I cook, I played Mr chef said I am a good cook how about I cook. She accepted, well truth be aid I am a good cook but nothing fancy, so what do I cook up.
Ideas and recipes please

Two questions, have you asked her what she likes and if not why not callher and ask.

What I've learned in the past is that no matter if you cook something normal or cook something extra fancy, just be sure to not take too much time cooking and having her wait. (Unless she's helping cook, then that can be fun kitchen time) Girls don't like waiting to eat from what I've seen before lol. If it takes a long time, start it well before she comes over and time it to be done in like 10-15 minutes tops from when she comes over.
Beef bourguignon can be a good choice and isn't too hard to make, it just takes like 2-3 hours, though. Smells and tastes good, and you'll have leftover wine to drink.

I know she is allergic to nuts and loves sea food, that is as much as I know.

If you use pots, pans, woks, etc to cook using peanut oil, don't use the same ones to cook for her to be safe.

When I said I was playing at being a chef I was joking, I can not cook a leg of lamb. I do burgers and easy stuff.I need a simpler thing.

Order a fancy meal with Doordash/Grubhub/etc and get it from a nice place (Or just pick it up). Then tell her "Dinner will be ready at 7" or whatever time. Set the pickup/delivery to be ready at 6:45, then rush as fast as you can to put the food on plates and make it look like you did it. Leave a dirty frying pan on the stove to make it more realistic

If you have to, that's a good plan and I wouldn't complain if a date did thatKev wrote: ↑April 16th, 2021, 5:04 pmThat is what my back up plan was, just going to go with it.Colmike7 wrote: ↑April 16th, 2021, 4:58 pm

But, for more ideas, around here grocery stores have those Hello Fresh dinner kits for 2 and are usually pretty good with easy to follow instructions. They aren't exactly cheap, though.
Also, meatloaf and mashed potatoes/broccoli w/ cheese can be a good meal and very easy to make.
For dates, I like to cook things like sesame chicken or Nashville hot chicken, but those aren't really good choices if you want easy lol.

Kev I would tell her you did not cook it for two reasons. A What if she asks you how you cooked it and what ingredients are used, you'll have to lie. B you're starting out lying to her so if she ever lies to you do not get upset. I am not into lies but that's my thing, do whatever you feel right, all the best.

Also, a big problem with the ordering out idea is that a lot of places, you can tell that it's not homemade, so be careful
