WP auto update emails
Is there a way to disable the emails the script sends when it auto updates plugins?

Check the docs at wordpress.org. there's code you can add to the config file to enable/disable updates. I would be surprised if there isn't a line that you can add to turn off notifications as well.

I like getting the emails. Takes a second to glance at and delete it. Sometimes I might go a couple weeks without firing up my puter. It gives be a heads up to check my blogs and make sure all is well.urbanlegend wrote: ↑March 31st, 2021, 10:01 amWhy get dozens of emails if you are using auto-updates, good point.

This I have not used but the one I use does the job as well as can be. I will look into this one this weekend for a backup plugin.workman wrote: ↑March 23rd, 2021, 8:13 amThere is a plugin for this

In functions.php, put this in to disable core update emails:
Disable plugin update emails:
Disable theme update emails:
Code: Select all
add_filter( 'auto_core_update_send_email', 'stop_auto_update_emails', 10, 4 );
function stop_update_emails( $send, $type, $core_update, $result ) {
if ( ! empty( $type ) && $type == 'success' ) {
return false;
}
return true;
}Code: Select all
add_filter( 'auto_plugin_update_send_email', '__return_false' );
