transfering a domain from name to namecheap question

#1

Post by Avin » November 4th, 2020, 7:02 am

I want to transfer 3 domains from name to namecheap, only concern is if my domains will be down or not resolve during the transition, or will they keep on working as if nothing has happened.Any of you know how the transfer affects the domain still working.

Every time I have transferred a domain from one registrar to the next the DNS records have not changed. You should be fine.

What if you are using private name servers is it still the same?

Do you have your own DNS Server? Where are you hosting - is that also being changed?

If the name servers are on a different domain which is how it should be, then the domain will keep on resolving during and after the transition.

What a fantastic domain name for a registrar, NAME!
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

Dot com's have increased in cost, 5 years ago they were so much less, when you renew 30 a year you feel the increase.

Is it fair to say the cheapest place to register domains with private registration is namecheap?
