Are more people being diagnosed as "Positive" than really needs to be.

Some of the nation’s leading public health experts are raising a new concern in the endless debate over coronavirus testing in the United States: The standard tests are diagnosing huge numbers of people who may be carrying relatively insignificant amounts of the virus.

Most of these people are not likely to be contagious, and identifying them may contribute to bottlenecks that prevent those who are contagious from being found in time. But researchers say the solution is not to test less, or to skip testing people without symptoms, as recently suggested by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Instead, new data underscore the need for more widespread use of rapid tests, even if they are less sensitive.

“The decision not to test asymptomatic people is just really backward,” said Dr. Michael Mina, an epidemiologist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, referring to the C.D.C. recommendation."

They all make sense but the "High risk" list is totally true in my opinion.

We stay away from restaurants, bars , cinemas. You take a large number of people in one place the chances are one will be covid-19 positive, so why risk it.

Israel is about to go into a 2nd full lock down, best move to cut out this virus, article from haaretz.com.

"The cabinet is expected to approve Sunday morning a full lockdown beginning 6:00 A.M. Friday morning, about 12 hours before the start of Rosh Hashanah.

According to the provisions of the resolution drawn up by the Health Ministry, schools will close Wednesday, except for boarding schools and special education.

During the lockdown, the entire country will be considered a "red" zone, and people will be restricted to a 500-meter (0.3 miles) radius from their place of residence. All businesses, commerce, domestic tourism, places of entertainment and government offices that serve people in person will be closed, with the exception of essential services, grocery stores and supermarkets, pharmacies, hardware stores, medical supply stores and computer and cellphone stores and repair facilities. Restaurants will be limited to delivery and takeout service.

Government offices will operate at 30 percent of normal staffing levels, except for essential organizations. Businesses will be limited to 10 employees or 30 percent of normal staffing levels, whichever is higher. Essential organizations are exempt from these limits.

According to the proposal, which may change before the vote, the education system will cease its activities as early as Wednesday, besides distance learning. The National Preschools Council has announced that it will suspend learning in such a case.

Public worship on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur must be outside, in groups of up to 20 people, or up to 10 in communities with high infection rates. In addition, there must be 4 square meters of floor space for each worshiper."

One pharma CEO said >>> "Adar Poonawalla, the chief executive officer of the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer, said in an interview Monday that the world will likely have to wait until the end of 2024 for total inoculation from the coronavirus-- at best.

Poonawalla, the head of the Serum Institute of India, told the Financial Times that he understands that the world is looking for optimism in the fight against the virus, but pharmaceutical companies are nowhere close to producing a vaccine on the massive scale required. He said his company has committed to producing a billion doses, but he said the world could need 15 billion......"

Oh well Jesus didn't save him from the Coronavirus, I do not feel sorry for idiots who ignore science and do their own wacky shit claiming they know better.

"(CNN)A pastor in Idaho who called himself a "no-masker" during a service and repeatedly questioned the veracity of coronavirus case reporting is in the ICU after contracting Covid-19.
Paul Van Noy, senior pastor at Candlelight Church in Coeur d'Alene, has spent two weeks in the hospital with a Covid-19 diagnosis, ministry coordinator Eric Reade confirmed to CNN. Five other church staff were infected with coronavirus, too, but they've all recovered, he said.
In a comment shared through Candlelight Church, Van Noy said he'll soon move out of the ICU into another room in the hospital and then recover at home.

One of the country's largest megachurches says it's canceling all in-person services for the rest of 2020 over coronavirus concerns
"At present I feel OK but still need quite a bit of oxygen support -- especially if and when I try to get up out of the bed," he said in a statement through the church.

His wife also contracted Covid-19 but wasn't hospitalized, according to the church. The couple are two of over 3,050 cases in the Northwest Idaho area, local health data shows.
Candlelight Church shut its doors temporarily in March but reopened for in-person services in early May. Van Noy's church doesn't require parishioners to wear masks, though they're welcome to, Reade told CNN.
In a July 22 service that was posted online, Van Noy said while he doesn't mind if other people wear masks, he didn't "want to be told" he needed to wear a mask.

He also said he wouldn't comply if the city ordered him to halt in-person services, though the church also livestreams its services. Nationwide, church leaders have been fined -- and even arrested -- for holding services during the pandemic.
In a July Facebook post, Van Noy falsely claimed that wearing masks doesn't prevent Covid-19 transmission, and he urged his parishioners not to fear the "cause or effect of Covid-19." "

Do you support the idea of a second stay at home aka lock down to control the rise in Coronavirus infections?
