I used the google shortener to tweet adult a few years ago and noticed that some of my shortened URLs had quit redirecting. I'm guessing that's because I used it for adult links. I quit using it because of that.

could be that its adult - they also discontinued their service few years ago (not sure, 2015 or something?)

be careful using sites that do not allow adult, they will cancel your account and you have to go back redo your links.

That thought had crossed my mind when I was about to use one or two url shortners.

There are some shorteners out there specifically for the adult niche

If the TOS on the site says no adult then you have to respect that and not try be smart. You can not come back cry how they canned your links over them being adult links.

url shortners must have a short domain name for me to use them, otherwise why bother

If you have good ones for adult keep posting them. They help make pages cleaner when writing posts.
