WP updates
Hey morning , have you noticed updates for the same plugin on one WP blog shows up and the next blog shows the same update a few days later.
How is the same plugin update not on the same day for all blogs it is on?

fetish's answer seems a possibility, other than that here is a bump for others to figure it out for you.

Thinking it has to happen on the same date for all blogs, but wtf do I know.

Updates from WP don't get sent out to everyone all at once. Blogs will check wp.org once or twice per day for updates, then the wp rollout server knows about how many updates are needed for each one. Then it slowly rolls out updates, randomly choosing 1:128 blogs to update on, then 1:64, etc. to see if there are any issues before rolling out to everyone. At least for minor updates.

Sure. Also keep in mind that the cron also won't run and tell WP that the blog/plugins need an update if there isn't any traffic at all (including you), too.bbwlover wrote: ↑July 11th, 2020, 4:49 pmOh thank you for that explanationColmike7 wrote: ↑July 11th, 2020, 3:38 pmUpdates from WP don't get sent out to everyone all at once.
