Has anyone else noticed that every now and then when searching stuff on google, the search results have the sites favicon displayed too? I wonder if having a favicon is a tiny factor in ranking?

Google wants them, so get one up takes 2 minutes, easiest way to meet one of Google's requirements for inclusion in the results.

Only reason my sites have one is they look nice in the browser. Now if Google looks favorably at favicons even more reason to use them.
