Email to subscribers off my blog - yes or no

#1

Post by JB2302 » April 26th, 2020, 12:29 pm

I have email subscribe links on most of my blogs. Not everyone one every blog signs up. Is it alright to email them about my other blogs or does the email have to be about the specific blog they subscribed through.

If you have a ring of blogs in a way that you can brand them all at once, then that can be a good way to have a general email to all subscribers and promote new blogs and interesting articles in the ring without annoying the surfer with cross-promotion/irrelevant emails. This way you don't have to create/sort different kinds of emails, too. You can still have separate emailers and cross-promote, but just make it clear when they are signing up that they may receive promotions to your other blogs/brands.
Also put in the unsubscribe link like Bill mentioned and follow all other applicable spam laws, and sometimes for mailers that are doing cross promotion, having that unsubscribe link near the top of the email as opposed to the very bottom can help keep your emails going to the inbox and not spam folder. Seems weird, but true lol.

Make sure the unsubscribe link is present. Most important aspect of emailing.

Yes if you do what they already said with the 'unsubscribe' link.

Is it spam if you have their permission to email form your one site and include offers on other sites , not in my way of thinking this through.

True, I guess you could collect correctly and do mostly cross promotions. But that will still be terrible traffic
