3, delete any unused plugins

I would add... delete any unused themes... keep WP Core up to date... keep an eye on how frequently a plugin is being updated (not updated for months - years is a no-no).

By the way it is recommended to subscribe to WordFence's mail list, they often notifying about new vulnerabilities and they are not spammy.

Looks like there is an ongoing hacking campaign. Several attempts of File Upload in file: upload=x.php and admin.php were blocked on the 7th, 12 and 13th of September on almost all of my sites (both porn and non-porn).
