Life as we know it changed in 2020

No this is not a Coronavirus - covid-19 thread. Just that the virus precipitated change and the change is here to stay and life as we knew it took a big jump into new ways. It was already happening but now it's picked up pace.

What I see going forward is:

1. Multiple industries will die or become sidelines. EG Tourism, Cruises, Movie Theaters, Concerts, Conventions, the list goes on....
2. Work form home will be the new way to work not in house employment.
3. Globalism will be a put on the back burner. We realized very hard that not producing goods in our country makes us dependent on getting it from over seas. We will see more local production and less import of goods.
4. Gas will never go up to $100 a barrel as less people travel and drive.
5. The ozone layer will not be hurt as hard with less air and ground travel using gas.
6. Global warming will start to slow down.
7. Casual sex and dating will go down for a long time as people get used to social distancing.
8. Cashless will be the new norm in spending.
9. Less privacy and more intrusive laws allowing government to track people.
10. Less shops and more online purchasing for everything from food to cars.

How do you see life changing post 2020?

Not to go off topic and I am not a conspiracy theory guy, but this current situation has really taken away a lot of personal liberties, freedoms and privacy from people all over the world. We are told to stay home, not go about our daily lives, I see the point in it. But we are basically prisoners in our own homes for the foreseeable future. Elections, major events, even personal interactions have ground to a halt. Great time for any country who wants to attack another one do it or pass laws under the radar since the news is only focused on this Coronavirus. Big brother has taken over and we are all going along with it without questioning how much of our freedoms and liberty we are willing to give up in this fight.

I am a conspiracy guy, HOWEVER, many of the conspiracies I have followed since my grandfather warned me about them before I was a teen.

I knew about Monsanto before most people knew the name.
I know why Reagan was really shot, because the told my grandfather, in a private meeting. FYI, my GPas military clearance was HIGH! He flew the planes that carried the bombs that were later dropped on Japan. Lucky for him he was not the pilot he day the call came in.
The stories he told me over the years. The things he knew about the Clintons in the beginning, that later become public knowledge. shocking!

I can go on.

The problem with Big brother, is the parents that control him. The parents that do not always get along. The parents that do not really like their step children.
The parents that see us as slaves to manage. or like China, the parents that see us as a commodity to cut apart and sell as ... well you know.


At least here in America, they best not try and tell me I can not go out.
The constitution is very clear about NOT giving the Government the authority to tell ME that I can not go out.

This is why so many companies are easily listed as essential. All you have to do to get past the POPO is know what to write on a piece of paper to make the zealots go away!

I don't go out anyway, but I will when I want to.

as for off subject, not really. The biggest change will be people waking up to the corruption. The % of awareness is greatly increasing. More people need to stop using Google for their only source of information. Confirmation bias is never a good source of information.

I really feel bad for all the people failing to see the hype and lies by both the government and the media.

This is the only thing that has changed. The media and governments that were losing ground due to the fake news revelations have doubled down on their efforts to control YOUR thoughts and actions,. People have forgotten the fake news already and are falling for the lies.
