why so many hits to subdomains on my sites

Hi in an effort to learn more about my traffic, I am looking in CPanel under Webalizer and there are hundreds of hits to my sites but with subdomains I do not even have on the domains. How is this possible. Who types in xxxxxxxx.somedomain for no reason?

Does the domain have history? Could be they once existed? Else yeah, probably weird bots - you can block them out if theyre annoying
All the best, Hincapie

Submit your sites to Adult List, Loasex.com and FemdomPortal

No I registered most of them, and I never added those subdomains.

Who is the subdomain expert?

Check your analytics or stats for referrers. this will tell you where the visitors are coming from and maybe who and what they are. if bots, give them content to bot.

Create redirects for your subdomains to the search feature on your site. the subdomain should be the search criteria.

Then if/when the clicks continue to increase, create custom landing pages for each subdomain.

example
Go to abby.nude.com
Type anything .nude.com

Nothing special as I am lazy, but you might get the point.

Not on my search any more, but on my list of wordpress plugins to build.

Use a wild card for your domains, have the deleted and non-existent subdomains redirect to a site you own

A lot of people do not realize that www. is a subdomain to the root domain.

bot hits are worth zilch and can not be monetized. Block them as you find them.

bots are nearly always harmless, let search engine and other resource sites index your site, why block them.
