Bill Gates nailed it, I have been saying this for weeks, do a total shutdown for a few months or else this Cornavirus is never going to end and will kill millions of people. He is absolutely spot on, forget the economy for now, get the disease under control or there will be no economy to bring back to life.

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/bill ... 03530.html
Philanthropist and billionaire Bill Gates believes that America needs six to 10 weeks of “extreme shutdown” of regular life to get a handle on the new coronavirus outbreak (or COVID-19), contradicting comments from President Trump.

“It’s very irresponsible for somebody to suggest we can have the best of both worlds,” the Microsoft co-founder said in an interview with TED on Tuesday. “What we need is an extreme shutdown so that in six to 10 weeks, if things go well, then you can start opening back up.”

Gates noted that while isolation in populated areas — along with widespread testing — is difficult and “disastrous” for the economy, “the sooner you do it in a tough way, the sooner you can undo it.”

President Donald Trump recently argued that restrictions should be loosened by Easter Sunday, April 12, with healthy people returning to work while people who are sick remain isolated.

“The expression ‘We can do two things at one time,’ ... and that includes not just economics, that also includes life and death,” Trump said. “We have to keep it that way.”

Listen to the doctors and scientists, that Dr Fauci is a smart guy, you have to work with the virus not open things up just for the economy.
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

Matt Hancock UK the Health Secretary has announced he tested positive to, I guess all the cabinet who regularly met will test positive one by one. Which brings me to anther point. Why are world leaders and their cabinet members and advisers getting so close to each other every day. How about video conferencing.

Yeh wishful thinking but here it goes. Guess when this Coronavirus wil end and life will return to normal. By normal I mean no closures, no stay at home, no schools of shops closed, cruises, Vegas flying all back to normal.

I'll start by guessing Labor day.

Totally with what Bill Gates said, there needs to be a total lock down of every thing every where for 10 weeks. My guess is most places will get back to some what normal around late Fall. The real problem is there is bound to be a second out break in the Fall when flu season starts up.

I just want to wake up in the morning think this was all a bad dream.
When I was a child I had bad dreams, until I was about 7 years old.

Adele you must not let it get to you. I know friends who are starting to get paranoid and won't listen to the news or read anything about the Coronavirus because they are literally starting to get anxiety attacks or stressed out. Yes it is very serious and it can get any one of us. The best advice I have read and tell others is do not leave your hose unless you must go to the grocery or drug store. And then plan a head do the trip once a week if you can.
The virus can not come crawling under the door or thru the windows and infect you. If you go out and have latex gloves and disposable face masks use them. Yes I do and some people think I look goofy some think I am crazy but I do not give a dam. Plus throw them away do not reuse them. When you get home wash your hands for half a minute under hot water and soap. Not tepid or cold water, water that is nearly getting too hot to be comfortable. Generally speaking heat kills germs.

Do not touch your face when outside, only when you are home and have washed your hands. Use any disinfectant wipe to clan the door knobs, light switches, counter tops, your key board and mouse.... Not all with the same wipe, you'll just pass the germs around.

Go for a walk, stay at least 6 feet away from others even when going for a walk, sitting alone at home all day listening to this news and being lonely will get to you. Do not let it get to you.

Physical distancing not social distancing, I liked the former, we can still socialize with friends and family by phone, text, email, IM's, forums.... and if you get lonely or down in the dumps you can always post here or pm me. I always have my Ipad or Iphone with me even when I am not on the laptop. I can talk lol, as the dragon says, I talk a lot but hey if you want to talk do it here or on pm.

Have a good Friday evening my friend.

We're going to get past this one day, stay positive.
