Yes, I have just started looking at TubeX.

He seems to have built it from scratch with newer nicer but entirely different code (whereas these and ToplistX are older but similar)...so it might take a bit to get the old engine running

Speaking of TubeX - does anyone have a live copy that they would be willing to let me have admin access to ? (Working on the upgrade - and need to see the old in action to compare some things - and i dont have a live one of this myself)

Yeah its quite limited though for these days - but worth doing for me as I actually had a couple of old domains running it

I'm going to test it, tgp's seem a good idea all over again. oat home, more ways to serve them content is a good option.

Actually...especially for the niche sites - latex, bdsm etc - ive found that picture galleries still work pretty well. It aint a party like 2001 but the quality of the traffic coming from tgp´s is way better than from tubes .... its a bit like the ancient tgp vs linklist discussion, only the tgps have the low volume high quality traffic now...i suspect the tgp surfers are oldschool, not exposed to endless free material etc and so easier to convert.

And if you have a tube with 3k daily hits itll only cost you bandwidth and never make a sale, a TGP with the same amount might just send some conversions due to the different crowd of surfers, again, not like 2001 but ....

(ok now laugh away...i know the common wisdom is that all these things are dead and only tubes live)

Not too many webmasters today submit galleries, build a real clean tgp fed it with some traffic and you might be on to a winner.
