Alexa question

Post by alina » March 7th, 2020, 7:40 am

Hi if your site say site/folder gets traffic from trades as opposed to the main index page, how does it work for Alexa. Does Alexa ony count the in coming traffic to the main index page of the domain or on any page on that domain.

No it should not but honestly I would not waste time dwelling on Alexa. I have never believed in it because it relies on people with their toolbar to rank pages, and I have always blocked their spiders form my sites.

Valid idea, it's based on a toolbar so no good.

If you don't have a large amount of traffic, there's no point in worrying about Alexa.

Alexa used to be free and as they grew they went paid, it's normal for a service to start out free and then charge, I do not blame them.

They are not going for the low end, they want serious clients and users, this is obvious to me form the pricing they have on their site.

You all worry over Alexa too much. Get worried when you're in the top 100 sites and you slip 5 notches.

Have never worried or dwelled on an Alexa rank when dealing in a domain buy or sale.

Blah not in to what Alexa says about my sites. I look at my sales numbers, the only reason I run the darn things.
