Hi is there a way for you to make wordpress plugins do updates automatically without you having to get involved.
How many plugins are you using per blog?

How do you know if a plugin is safe to download and use?

You don't. All you can do is be cautious. Use reputable source, check feedback, check your stuff after install, look at the code, etc.

When I see how many have been downloaded and that is a high number I figure if there were issues someone would have noticed it and wrote up about it.
