Pamela Anderson has confirmed that she's split from her fourth husband Jon Peters after just 12 days of marriage.

The couple tied the knot after just a few months of dating but Pamela said she needed some "time apart" from Jon, 74, to work things out.

The Baywatch actress, 52, told The Hollywood Reporter: "I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union

"We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another.

When Jon Peters received a text from his bombshell ex-flame, Pamela Anderson, saying she wanted to get married, the famously ruthless producer and one-time Hollywood hairdresser/Lothario dropped everything — including his current fiancee.

“Needless to say that when she texted me that she wanted to get married, it was kind of a dream come true even though I was engaged to someone else and the lady was moving in,” Peters said in an email to Page Six.

But the 74-year-old Peters said he ended the marriage after 12 days when he realized Anderson, 52, was “broke” and needed help paying off her sizable debts.

“I dropped everything for Pam,” Peters told Page Six. “She had almost $200,000 in bills and no way to pay it so I paid it and this is the thanks I get. There’s no fool like an old fool.”

Peters said he contacted Page Six to offer his version of how the quickie marriage ended. Peters, who famously dated Barbra Streisand and co-produced her 1976 version of “A Star is Born,” wasn’t happy to read that someone from Anderson’s camp had told Page Six that he had asked the former “Baywatch” beauty to marry him “on a whim.”

Peters also “took umbrage” with the source telling Page Six that it was Anderson who realized the marriage was “a mistake” because he was “too controlling.”

“Everything they told you was a lie,” Peters insisted to Page Six. “If she meant controlling, I’ve paid … (her) bills since she was broke. I bought her a completely new wardrobe.”

The pair secretly wed in a private Malibu ceremony on Jan. 20. A source previously told Page Six that Anderson jumped into the marriage because her heart was “too open” from a recent “spiritual cleanse” in India.

A representative for Anderson fired back at Peters’ version of events, telling Page Six: “These claims are not only entirely fabricated, they are ludicrous”

Over the years, Anderson has had a number of turbulent, high-profile relationships and marriages, including marriages to rockers Tommy Lee and Kid Rock, and to film producer Rick Salomon. She’s been in the headlines more recently because of her friendship and support of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who was arrested last year and is being held in a British prison after the United States government charged him with violation of the Espionage Act.

Meanwhile, Peters was married four times before Anderson, but was best known for his personal and business partnership with Streisand. He and Streisand were a Hollywood super couple in the 1970s and 1980s, and remain close friends, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“She was probably the love of my life,” Peters told the Hollywood Reporter in 2017. “She was the most captivating, interesting, creative person I have ever met.”

Peters and Streisand met in 1973 when the middle-school drop-out was her hair stylist for a movie she was working on. Peters, incidentally, had learned to become a stylist while grooming the pubic hair of sex workers in New York, according to accounts of his life. He also cultivated a reputation as a ladies man, telling people around Hollywood that he had been the inspiration for Warren Beatty’s womanizing hairstylist in “Shampoo.”

Peters certainly was ambitious. Together, Streisand and Peters made Hollywood history by co-producing her star vehicle, “A Star is Born.” But their collaboration was marred by reports the couple fought with each other on and off the set and subjected cast and crew to outrageous demands, according to film critic and historian Karina Longworth.

When the film opened, it was critically panned. But it also made lots of money and helped Peters transform himself into a powerhouse Hollywood producer, who at one time ran Columbia Pictures, produced “Flashdance” and “Rain Man,” launched the Batman movie franchise and relaunched the Superman franchise, according to Hollywood Reporter.

During Peters’ years as a celebrity mogul, he also dated a number of female A-listers, including Anderson and Kim Basinger. His career flamed out in the 1990s, but he stayed wealthy, mostly by earning a small cut from “Batman” and other films, the Hollywood Reporter said. He also worked quietly on other projects, including serving as a producer for the 2018 remake of “A Star is Born,” starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

The Hollywood Reporter said Peters has chosen to live a mostly reclusive life on a 3,000-acre Santa Barbara ranch for the past decade. Peters said his desire for a quiet life made him realize that Anderson was not a suitable partner. So, he sent her a text, breaking up with her.

“These past 9 days have been a beautiful amazing love fest,” Peters texted the actress, according to Page Six.

But “this whole marriage thing with lawyers, debt, and jazmin (sic) has scared me,” Peters added. “It made me realize that at 74 I need a simple quiet life and not an international love affair.”

“Jazmin” refers to a new online lifestyle magazine that Anderson is involved in. Peters told Page Six that the magazine “borders on porn.”

Peters also told Anderson, however, he’d be willing to work with her on another project, perhaps in his next movie.

“I can love you by giving you a new career,” Peters said. “I do love you, but I don’t know how people get together when there’s so much energy around the couple.’’
