San Francisco along with a lot of other major cities around the world has a major homeless and poverty problem. Fix those issues first then go after the ones who are in such bad shape.

Prostitution should not be a criminal act no matter where it is. By making it a crime it puts the sex workers in harms way, causes gangs and bad people to get involved, increases corruption and disease.

We are all prostitutes by definition. We sell our skills for money. Some do it by brain surgery others who have no other option decide to sell their bodies. What's the difference?

I doubt any one who has options to make money wakes up and says you know what i am going to leave this 9 to 5 job with a pension, paid vacation and benefits say hell to the $100,000 a year salary I get in this office and go walk the streets. It is usually done for the obvious reason, money to live on. And they have no other skills or employment opportunities.
