[BUSINESS] Is there a Wordpress plugin to delete posts with broken links

[Abby]

Hi Monday Chatters.

Is there a Wordpress plugin that will delete posts with broken links. I found so many posts I have made on my blogs with content provided to me legally by my sponsors, those image urls are broken now, so my posts look dumb. If there is a plugin you can click "run" and have it heck posts for broken images or url's I would love to install it.

Not that i know of, let me google this.

There are, most will first look for all links/posts on your blog, then follow them while checking links/images. Then either have a tab in wp with the broken ones that it finds, or some will email the links. I'm not sure if any do it automatically, though, but could be modified to do that.
Some plugins are old or only work with specific wp versions, though, so testing with a spare blog could be a good idea.

Any actively updated plugins for this colmike7, it sounds a good idea to me.

Not a plugin and not auto but Xenu link sleuth should do the job. It's free, been around for years and still works like a charm to map your site and find broken links.

No plugin seems to be available , I did the whole google search and found none.

It would be nice to find a working plugin to go thru posts and highlight the ones with 404 links in them to delete.

Friday bump for luck?

This can be a benefit to so many bloggers , this plugin can easily sell if any one crates it.

Bad links can be harmful to seo, so this is a good idea even if you need to delete the dead links by hand.
