Coming up 8 years now ! what started off as a business related second visit has turned into a "life".... I am now also a Police Officer (in a 3rd world country you either need to be very tough or insane !... I am the latter haha) I do not draw a wage I donate it back to the community... ah yeah wow how noble of me... if the people in the Western world could see what I see everyday they would understand why...

Agreed ! ... however one of my ex comrades ended up being a copper back in the UK he was part of my fire team and as soon as I found out what his new job was (had not seen him in many years) all respect and the military comradeship was gone.... about a year later my son ended up on a GBH charge this copper my ex comrade stuck his neck out for my boy and even appeared in court as a character witness ! I did not ask him to do it he took it upon himself to do so.....
Military is the strongest bond / friendship you can get... of course after that I overlooked the fact he was copper and the bond was back.... ironic now I am one of the same... it's different here though we are more like soldiers rather than "cops" our main concern is trying to prevent terrorism and fighting (fighting here consists of guns and knives and happens many times a day) we are expected to stop that shit by any means possible including killing all suspects if need be....
Funny.. me and another Officer a few days back he was giving me a ride to the town in his motorcycle and sidecar a few people needed a ride also so I said yeah just stop and give them a lift.... one old lady said OMG we got Police up front in this vehicle !.. I turned around and said yeah you must feel very safe then ? she said hell no you fuckers are worse than the Bandits !!!! I burst out laughing my mate was not impressed though he gave her a nasty look I said just leave it mate....
