Movies always seem to disappoint. It did with Frank Herbert's Dune. They didn't even make it thru the 1st book and altered the ending. I doubt they'll do Foundation justice.

I wasn't aware that they're making more Dune movies. The one made in the eighties wasn't all bad they just couldn't cram everything from the book into the long-ass movie. Plus they changed the ending which wasn't right. Dune was good.... unless you read the book... books. I can't remember how many are in the series, it's a boat load and I read them all, a long time ago.

Movies usually disappoint after reading the book. It's nice to see the story visualized but there's so much in a book that's damn near impossible to get across in a movie. Stehpen King (totally different genre) movies are usually disappointing because of that, yet I still love to watch them. Oh... if you watch a Stephen King movie, look for him filling a small role in the movie. He weasels himself into the movies that are based on his books in a really minor role (delivering a pizza, etc)!
