No beer or pizza is rough, it's not an expensive habit and any man, woman or LGBTQ individual who risks their for the freedom and liberty of their country should have a simple pleasure. Screw these diet fads that come and go. Why take away a simple pleasure from them.

It's called military readiness. When you sign up you become military property for the duration. You soon realize that's no joke.
I remember years ago a couple females were court-marshaled for getting abortions while stationed overseas. The service wasn't available at military facility and the soldiers neglected to obtain permission to seek civilian medical care. Soldiers have also received article 15 punishment (in lieu of court-marshal) for severe sun burns etc. Damaging government property.
Fitness and weight management have been part of the military for however long I can remember. It used to be if you busted weigh-in you were placed in the fatboy program. Use your imagination on that that entails. You were given 6 month to get your shit in order or you were discharged.
Bottom line is when you sign up your ass belongs to Uncle Sam. You will give up certain rights and freedoms for the duration to protect the rights and freedom for others. That's the way it needs to be to have a military that functions like a well oiled machine.

Not tried keto but I think any diet with less red meat is good for us.
